The College is pleased to welcome Dr. Faiq Bilal (PhD) to Council as a new public member from Milton. 

Dr. Bilal holds a PhD in Microbiology from King’s College, University of London, United Kingdom.  After completing his education, Dr. Bilal began his career as a lecturer and later worked on various science advisory positions. In 1998, he joined the international organization, Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) as Director of Science. He assisted ICESCO member states in formulating national science and technology policies, building capacities in science and technology, and mobilizing scientific research for sustainable development. Dr. Bilal has remained a member of various international committees and boards in science and medical fields. Apart from his professional achievements, Dr. Bilal volunteers his free time for community services and is a founding President of a non-for-profit organization that engages and empowers seniors to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Bilal speaks English, French, Urdu and Hindi.
