Dr. Vivian Sapirman named new medical advisor

CPSO is pleased to welcome Dr. Vivian Sapirman to the College as a Medical Advisor. Dr. Sapirman is a psychiatrist based in Toronto and will be working with the College’s Investigations and Resolutions team.

Dr. Sapirman’s roles prior to joining the College include staff psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry at Women’s College Hospital, where she was also postgraduate site director.

She  has also held a number of other leadership roles at Women’s College Hospital and the University of Toronto’s postgraduate psychiatry department. Dr. Sapirman completed her undergraduate medical training at McMaster University and her residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

New Public Member to Council

Fred Sherman

Mr. Fred Sherman

The College is pleased to welcome Mr. Fred Sherman, of Ottawa, to Council as a Public Member.

Mr. Sherman is a strategic communications and leadership expert, who has worked with government, political, and business stakeholders and organizations. He has advised leaders; trained Canadian educators and military public affairs officers for global deployment; and worked on a number of Government of Canada departmental change initiatives including at the Public Service Commission, Health Canada, National Defence and the Treasury Board. Since 2000, Mr. Sherman has been a principal at Hill Solutions Public Affairs.
