Shannon Weber
Ms. Weber of Waterloo is a leadership and governance consultant with over 20 years of experience working in the public and not-for-profit sectors. In addition, to her consulting practice, Ms. Weber is a faculty member in the School of Business at Conestoga College, teaching organizational behaviour and change. She has held leadership roles at Wilfrid Laurier University, the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Foundation and Kitchener Business Improvement Area. In her consulting practice, she has advised boards, councils and CEOs on their leadership and governance roles. Ms. Weber has been involved in the Kitchener-Waterloo community in a variety of capacities. Most recently, she has served as a member of the City of Kitchener Economic Development Advisory Committee, the Smart Waterloo Region Advisory Board and as a mentor in the Launchpad program at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. Ms. Weber holds an MBA from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and a BA (Economics) from the University of Waterloo.

There were several inaccuracies in our recent announcement of our new public member to Council, Mr. Murthy Ghandikota. Below is the corrected version:

Murthy Ghandikota
Mr. Ghandikota has served as a member of Metropolitan Toronto and Toronto public library boards. He has also served as a Public Council Member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario for six years and as a Public Council Member of the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario for four years. For more than 15 years, he served as a Public Member of both Federal and Provincial Administrative Tribunals such as the Assessment Review Board, Board of Inquiry (Ontario Human Rights Commission), Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and the Review Tribunals for the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security. Mr. Ghandikota’s extensive community service includes working with several ethnocultural-cultural community groups for which he has received national, provincial and municipal awards.
