The Board of Directors welcomes Mr. Stephen Bird of Perth, Ontario, as a new public Director. Mr. Bird is a retired lawyer. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and holds an M.A. from the University of Waterloo.
For most of his career, Mr. Bird worked as a lawyer for a community legal clinic in eastern Ontario. He has served on the Board of Directors and the Governance Committee for the Perth and Smith Falls District Hospital as well as for many years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Lanark Renfrew Health and Community Services (now ConnectWell Community Health). He has also been on the Board of the Leeds Grenville Lanark District Health Unit. Currently, he is a peer reviewer for the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.
