Easier Way to Connect with the College

The College is committed to making it easier for physicians to access CPSO services.

In mid-September, we launched a new Member Portal which allows physicians to more easily engage with the College online.  

Physicians already in the process of applying to practise medicine in Ontario or a postgraduate program will get first access to the new Member Portal.

Applicants will receive an email with a unique link to the new Member Portal registration page to set up their account.

Each week from September 21 to October 12, 2020, we will email members when it is their turn to set up their account for the new portal. Both the email and registration page will include instructions on how to set up their new Member Portal account.  

The new portal will make accessing services faster and easier by:

  • Allowing physicians to login once and get access to the services and forms they need to practice medicine in Ontario. Services and applications that used to be available on our main website, like postgraduate applications, registration renewal and incorporation forms, are moving to the secure Member Portal.
  • Giving physicians access to more online services, like profile updates, registration renewal, incorporation forms and document requests. We are replacing most paper-based applications and services with online services accessible through the new portal.
  • Allowing physicians to make online payments associated with applications or service requests.

We have created a message centre within the new portal which allows physicians to communicate directly with the CPSO about registration, applications and member services in one place.

To help members set up their new portal account, the CPSO created an easy-to-follow registration guide, as well as a training video that walks members through all the new portal features and services.

We are also providing a two-month grandfathering period for all CPSO services moving to the new Member Portal. We will still process any applications or requests submitted by email or mail up to November 13, 2020. However, any additional details or follow-up about a submission will be posted in the Member Portal. Members should wait for their email to setup their new portal account.
