Ms. Lucy Becker
The College is pleased to welcome Ms. Lucy Becker, of Toronto, to Council as a new public member.
Ms. Becker has an extensive background in Communications and Public Affairs. For the previous 10 years, she was Vice-President, Public Affairs and Member Education Services at the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada. She has held similar roles at AGF Investments and the Law Society of Upper Canada (now Ontario).
Ms. Becker has also put her talents to use as a volunteer for such organizations as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving. In June 2021, Ms. Becker was appointed the Director of the Board at the Don Valley Community Legal Services Clinic.
Dr. P. Andrea Lum
The College is pleased to announce that Dr. P. Andrea Lum has been appointed as the new academic representative from Western University. Dr. Lum is currently Vice Dean Clinical Faculty Affairs at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.
Dr. Lum graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa in 1983 and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1988. She completed a Fellowship in Body Imaging, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Vanderbilt University in 1989. She returned to University of Ottawa and became Head of Abdominal Imaging for radiology residency training.
In 2000, Dr. Lum was recruited to Schulich Medicine & Dentistry for her expertise in body CT/MRI imaging as Assistant Professor and served as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Training Program. She was later promoted to Associate Professor and in 2009 Dr. Lum was appointed Chair, Medical Imaging. She was Chair, Medical Advisory Committee and Director, Quality of Medical Care at London Health Sciences Centre from 2016 - 2019.
Dr. Lum was honoured with the Canadian Association of Radiologists’ Gold Medal for her lifetime professional contributions in radiology.
