Policy rescinded in favour of providing emergency-specific guidance.

The Board of Directors has rescinded the Public Health Emergencies policy, which outlined general physician obligations during public health emergencies. With the benefit of learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors determined that developing issue-specific guidance in the context of a public health emergency is more helpful to registrants and the public by enabling a real-time response, rather than general guidance to the profession.
